Bennett 17-20 Months

Oh man. Benny is a full on toddler. He loves to run! His personality is really starting to shine. He is so funny! He can actually play with his toys more – build things with his legos, race his cars, “feed” his baby doll, carry around his stuffed ducks. I love it all!  17-20 months […]

 17-20 months

Weight: 30 lbs

Length: 32″

Size: 24 months & 2T

Eyes: blue

Hair: strawberry dirty blonde

Sleeping: usually from 7:30 pm to 7 am without waking

Eating: Current favorites: 1) bananas, 2) MILK, 3) goldfish, 4) all vegetables — he’ll eat all the vegetables on his plate first, then meat, finally he’ll sample the carbs.

Milestones: Communication. We now (almost always) know what Benny wants. It’s so amazing to watch him go to the fridge say “milk.” Me ask “do you want more milk?” B nods and says “eh” (yes).

Memorable outings:  First trip to the zoo;

apple picking;

Likes: running!

Dislikes: getting his diaper changed, leaving the playground

Words/sounds: new ones: “help,” “up,” “on,” “milk,” “more” “nana,” (banana) “eh” = yes while he nods his head

Nicknames: “Little Man,” “Benny,” “B,” “Snickerdoodle,” “Mister Mister,” “nee nee”

Funny moments:  he started walking with his knees bent slanting back at an angle. I saw him doing it and literally laughed out loud. He realized it was funny, smiled, and started laughing with me while continuing his slanted walk. We both walked like that while laughing for the rest of snack time.

Looking forward to:  our house being done – we’re renovating our kitchen and two bathrooms, it’s taken a toll on B’s naps and sleep in general. But he LOVES when the contractor’s crew comes over each day. He goes over to where they’re working and says “hi there” until they say “hi” back.
