Bennett is Two

I cannot believe Bennett is two. Mainly because I cannot imagine our lives without our B. I will say, getting from turning one to turning two, was significantly easier than zero to one. The newborn days were not my friend. Now, we have a full-on toddler! He is still off the charts for height. He easily looks three, but he will always be my baby. Speaking of which, he now calls himself “Baby.” Perhaps I have addressed him as such a bit too often… hahahaha

Second Birthday Party

Bennett is Two!

We celebrated B’s second birthday with a family “car themed” birthday party. It was great! Bennett LOVES cars so this theme was the obvious choice. Benny’s favorite part was definitely the giant floating balloons.

Being a late January baby, of course, there was snow storm in the forecast. Luckily it wasn’t bad so everyone was able to come, but it certainly made me nervous about my original plan to go get Domino’s pizza. So, I kept it simple. For dinner, we had Aldi take and bake pizza and cheese sticks. For dessert, we had an amazing cake that my in-laws made! Seriously, scroll on the above instagram embed to see the roadway 2 with cars.

Decorations:

  • “car wash” streamers
  • red, white, black, and silver balloon garland
  • giant car balloons
  • giant red 2 balloon
  • happy birthday car themed banner
