2019 Freemyer Racine Christmas

I will say, Christmas this year, while wonderful, was a bit challenging. My parents like to sleep in. We have a two year old and a two month old. They’re just not going to sleep until 10 am or wait until “brunch” to open presents. So, we had to do a bit of a shuffle for opening presents, breakfast, etc. That being said, Bennett had a great Christmas! He got a Mickey Roadster racer from Santa, mini roadster racers from us, a scooter from K&K, and a sweet huge tow truck with a jeep to tow from Gigi and Grandpa.

After K, K, & C left, my parents stayed an extra day to help me clean and get organized (and have some solo B time). Then on Friday, Jimmy’s parents and their dog made the drive from VA to our house for Christmas round 2. Bennett thinks Santa comes every day. It’s a thing we’ll need to work on. But this round, he got an easel, soccer ball, Candy Land, monster truck, and that velcro catch game.

Monday, Jimmy’s best friend Morgan arrived on his journey from Baton Rouge back to DC. So glad he’s going to stay a few days with us, I know Jimmy misses hanging out with him. Also thankful he was here because they assembled the grill my in-laws got us for Christmas. Unfortunately someone got Benny sick with a bad cold so Monday was low-key for us.

Tuesday Bennett was worse so I was quite thankful we decided he and I would stay home from the Belk Bowl. Jimmy and Morgan went to cheer on the Hokies. Then, me being pregnant, lived it up until 9 pm with some alcohol-free bubbly. Happy New Years!
